The McKean County Resource Directory
The McKean County Resource Directory helps to connect individuals and families to
the many resources we have in and around McKean County.
The online directory, like the hard copy, is broken down in two ways. Each
contains the same entries, but is organized differently:
- Alphabetical - Each
agency/organization is listed in alphabetical order. It is best to use this
section when you already know which agency you are looking for information
about. For example, if someone was searching for a phone number for
CARE for Children, they
could go to C and look for CARE for
Children's listing.
- Topical - The Topical section is more
like the yellow pages in a phone book. The listings are divided up by topic.
This is best used when you are trying to find out information about a topic
but do not know what agencies/organizations offer what you are looking for.
If someone was looking for Child Care,
they could go to the C section and find the
listing for child care, which would show which agencies/organizations in the
area offer child care.
The McKean County Resource Directory is sponsored by the
McKean County Family Centers,
the
McKean County Department of Human Services and the
McKean County Collaborative Board.
